For the cooperation project with the local community of Furth to procure fire protection equipment for Karagwe in Tanzania, the container has now been loaded. It is already on its way to the port of Hamburg and will arrive in Dar es Salaam by ship via the Suez Canal in about 2 months. Besides the pumps and an emergency generator, the container also contains over 120 sets of protective clothing for the planned new fire department. Furthermore, the complete loading for a fire engine LF16/12 will be shipped. The fire truck itself will be shipped at a later date. The community of Karagwe will be able to establish a fire department for the first time and will be able to avoid devastating fires and emergency situations as in the past.
