As in the previous year, the Marienrealschule Cham organised an Advent market before the 2024 Christmas holidays. The school was formed in 2021 from the merger of the Gerhardinger secondary school in Cham and the Maristen secondary school. As Headmaster Christian Haringer (on the right in the photo) emphasises, the school wants to donate half of the proceeds to a good cause. The Theresia Gerhardinger Foundation will receive 800 euros and the organisation ‘Maristen Solidarität International’ 800 euros. Maristen Solidarität International will use the donation for the school projects of the Marist Brothers, who are active worldwide, to provide disadvantaged children, young people and orphans with an education and thus help these young people to build a better future for themselves.
