In December 2025, the Marist Solidarity International association once again took part in the Christmas market at the Marist Gymnasium in Furth. This year, the focus was on the project “Well drilling at the Bishop Mugendi School in Roo (Kenya),” for which donations were solicited. As Father Philip Olage, headmaster of the Bishop Mugendi School in Roo, reports, the existing well has since become silted up again. An inspection revealed that, despite all efforts, it can no longer be repaired. The borehole dates back to 1986 and has apparently reached the end of its useful life. A new well is therefore urgently needed. A total of €176 in donations was collected during the Christmas market that evening. This amount represents a valuable contribution to the financing of the urgently needed well drilling and thus makes an important contribution to improving the quality of life and educational conditions in the area.
